Is this diet safe? - Yes, the hCG diet has been around since the 1950's
How can I survive on 500 calories a day? - basically you cannot. The hormone in the diet causes one to burn their fat reserves. You will burn 1,700 - 2,000 calories of fat per day. It takes 3,500 calories of fat to burn one pound. The food you eat will be protein, vegetables and fruit - needed to stay healthy. The rest comes from the fat reserves.

The first time there must be a 6-week people after the diet before going on it again. Each time the diet is repeated the intermission must be a longer period. For example the fifth time one goes on the diet a 6-month intermission must be observed.
Will I get tired? - Not if you follow the diet, spread the calories out through the day and do not do any heavy exercise. A 30-minute walk daily is encouraged but no cardio or weight lifting should be done. If needed B-Complex supplementation and/or weekly B-12 injections will ensure you have enough energy.
After the diet can I go back to eating my favorite foods? - Losing weight is very difficult. This diet is intended to help people achieve a healthy weight. To keep the weight off one must practice healthy eating habits or the weight will come back. This program has a post hCG process that helps to boost the metabolism and to prevent gaining back the weight. Going back to old eating habits is not recommended as you will only gain the weight back.
